Timberframe garden structures such as pavilions and pergolas are featured on Wise Owl Joinery’s website, which I updated recently with projects that Richard Cormier has completed in the last year or two.

Beautiful work by a talented craftsman.

Imagine one of these picnic shelters in your backyard. Mmm, sure would look nice in mine.

uscuttingchain.com gets new website

Just finished a small site for a client providing sales and service of mortise and slotter chains.

Their customers would typically be timber framers who use chain mortisers for cutting mortises in post and beam construction, or chain slotters for cutting slots for the insertion of metal plates in heavy beams, as engineering sometimes requires.

There are other specialty uses for chain mortisers and chain slotters.

The site has a custom header with pictures of chain mortisers in action and repose, and chains can be purchased via a shopping cart.

The client serves mostly the US and Canada, sources mortise chains in Europe and worldwide, and provides sharpening services and the making of some parts.
